In October 2008, I went for my project “The Young Europeans” to the Republic of Moldova, starting with the first portrait of Ala and Maria on a sunny Monday morning in a park of Chișinău. It was quite an experience to be and photograph in an ex-soviet republic that also had some kind of civil war in the early nineties, which resulted in the separation of Transnistria from the rest of the Republic of Moldova. Now with all that is going on in this region and the multiple reports about the Republic of Moldova, I thought it might be interesting to take a look at those pictures from 2008 and present them here to the world.
